To whom it may concern

I have worked closely with Balasubramanian Swaminathan as both a tutor on his Masters in Education at the University of Sheffield, UK and as his dissertation supervisor. During this time he has been a highly motivated student who takes an infectious delight in academic matters and who has worked diligently to complete all assignments on time.

In his assignments he has clearly demonstrated his ability to reflect critically on educational theories and models and shown evidence of his wide reading outside the scope of topic assignments. He has also indicated his willingness to think independently and critique current paradigms.

His assignments meet the requirements of an educational Masters and I have every confidence that his dissertation will be of a similar standard. I can therefore recommend him unreservedly for further research.
